Who's who?

Allan Wright tells the story: In April 1970 four school friends, Andy Clancey, Pete Bish, Mike Drye and Pete Hornfeck formed BN Historians. They felt that the production of Britten-Norman aircraft needed recording, to ensure that the increasing number of the Islander family were properly documented. Little did they know that 30 years later, not only is the society they formed still alive, but BNH has, all but in name bought, the first production Islander, c/n 3! After many years of producing books and magazines we have progressed to larger things.

For over 35 years we have been following the Islander. We have produced 4 books (5, if you include the Irish Register), 3 supplements, 66 monthly BNH Newsletters, 9 Islander Quarterly's, 80 Islander News' (in its various formats), and now have a collection of thousands of BN-2 photographs. We have established a professional relationship with the BN-2 manufacturer, and are now regarded as Britten-Norman's official Data Consultants. Upon my arrival, the two Pete's and Mike took sideline roles, and Andy & I have now been running BNH together for more than 25 years!
